Lynn Fisher
Lynn Fisher is married and has three wonderful adult children who live ‘out west’. She moved to Tennessee in 2011 and became a member of the Oak Ridge Art Center in 2012 after taking a pottery class from Bill Capshaw. Lynn has a creative spirit and not only enjoys pottery, but also quilts, sews, weaves, paints on silk, and creates wicker baskets.
Lynn loves having her hands in the mud and being able to make beautiful pieces of ceramic art and functional items like teapots, bowls and flasks. As you view her pieces, you’ll find that she focuses on botanical themed objects and is inspired by beautiful flowers found in nature. Lynn enjoys making colorful, whimsical pottery to brighten people’s lives.
Lynn is a member of several organizations including Terra Madre, a group of women potters promoting the ceramic arts, the Foothills Craft Guild, a long standing organization representing fine arts and crafts of Tennessee, and Southern Highlands, the second oldest nonprofit craft organization in America.
Although Lynn has lived in a number of States and Countries over the years she is proud to call East Tennessee her home.
