Patty Lewis
I simply love making things. I find it so completely satisfying to create something that is both useful and beautiful from a design in my head. As an Architect I found that satisfaction at work, but when I took my first pottery class in 1999, I knew that I had found a lifelong passion. Although I had to prioritize my time for family, work, and all of my other hobbies and interests like gardening, woodworking, sewing, and crocheting, my love affair with clay has endured. Most of my work is very thin, wheel-thrown, functional pieces, but I am always exploring new ideas.
